It’s amazing how fast your mood can change after you step in some water with socks on.

(Source: bitrates)

I firmly believe in small gestures: pay for their coffee, hold the door for strangers, over tip, smile or try to be kind even when you don’t feel like it, pay compliments, chase the kid’s runaway ball down the sidewalk and throw it back to him, try to be larger than you are— particularly when it’s difficult. People do notice, people appreciate. I appreciate it when it’s done to (for) me. Small gestures can be an effort, or actually go against our grain (“I’m not a big one for paying compliments…”), but the irony is that almost every time you make them, you feel better about yourself. For a moment life suddenly feels lighter, a bit more Gene Kelly dancing in the rain. Jonathan Carroll (via onlinecounsellingcollege)

friendly reminder that you’re allowed to miss one workout or seven if you feel like it, if you don’t have enough time, if you aren’t feeling alright mentally or physically and you don’t owe anyone an apology. exercise is not an obligation, not a punishment, fuck fitblr quotes plastered on lean bodies that conceal an unhealthy obsession with weight control. full rest days are ok and taking a break and coming back when you’re ready is ok. (✿◠‿◠)

my therapist taught me to start thinking of my anxiety as my panicky friend
it’s working???

this is so cute omg

Woah this is super useful!!

For all my anxious friends out there.

This totally works! Some of us get stuck in the sense that we *are* our emotions, so they overwhelm us and we can’t do anything about them. When you give your emotion an identity separate from you, it gives you the distance to make better judgments about it, and to comfort yourself better. 10/10 therapy veterans would recommend.
